Northeast Mississippi Historical and Genealogical Society - Patricia Neely-Dorsey

The public is invited to attend the Northeast Mississippi Historical and Genealogical Society meeting at the Lee County Library Thurssday August 23 at Noon,  The featured speaker will be    author Patricia Neely-Dorsey and she will be discussing her recently published children’s book of poetry “Meet My Mississippi”.  The book is colorfully illustrated by Guntown artist Brenda Ragsdale. Her poem "Meet My Mississippi " was submitted for consideration as the official state poem.  Gov.Phil Bryant proclaimed her an Official Goodwill Ambassador for Mississippi. Patricia Neely-Dorsey, a graduate of Tupelo High School and Boston University, has authored three previous books of poetry which she calls a "celebration of the South and things Southern.”
