LEE: Looking for information on Sarah Jeanette LEE Clendening’s parentage, born on February 2, 1896 and died on February 23, 1967 in TN. Death certificate lists her parents as John LEE and Pauline MAYNARD. Possibly born out of wedlock and adopted by Johnson Lee, her father’s nephew. 1900 Census shows Sara J. Mena as Johnson’s adopted daughter. Sarah Lee’s daughter was: Will Edith Billingsley Woodard (1921-2016).

Eunice was the daughter of Revolutionary War soldier Nimrod Williams of Davidson County. Eunice is found in Lincoln County land records in 1826. Was she still alive in 1827? When and where did she die?

SANDERS: Looking for parents of Albert W. Sanders, born 1832 Lawrence County, TN, died 1870. He married Nancy Jane Pickett in 1853.  Their youngest child was James W. Sanders, my 1 GG. Albert also lived in Sequatchie County, joined the Confederacy, was captured, and died in 1870. Nancy Pickett then married Zach Taylor Morrison. DAVIS: Looking for any information on William H. Davis, born about 1825 Surry County, NC and died before 1860. His son, John Brown, was born in 1853 and died in 1929. His father was also named John, and was born about 1786. The family lived in District 12, Hamilton County TN in 1850 and 1860.

DAVIS Looking for the parents (and any other information) for Elizabeth Davis of Memphis Shelby County TN. Elizabeth was born 6 Aug 1828 and died 22 June 1919. She married Jesse Gernigin in 1846. She was found in the 1850 census for Greene County IL. The 1860 census for Elizabeth and Jesse includes a Meliva Davis (14) and an Emma Davis (9) in the household.

He married Eugenia McGuire in 1878; son Homer McGuire Burton was born in 1899 in Senatobia MS. Samuel Murdock Burton is not the same person as Samuel Marshall Burton.

ROBER(T)SONTrying to document birth and middle name of the Matthew F. Roberson shown in the 1850 US Federal Census, Henderson County TN. Born about 1823, married Margaret Franklin circa 1841. Their children were Benjamin, Mary, William, Elijah and Felix. Some trees show his descent from Mark Clairborne Robertson. The name Felix runs in our family.

BENNINGTON: Looking for the parents of James Thomas  Bennington, born 11 Jun 1835, Lincoln County TN. He enlisted in the Confederate Army 6 Sep 1861, Camp Smartt, Private, Co. D, 35th Infantry (5th Regiment Provisional Army, Mountain and Rifle Regiment.) He married Martha Ann  Welsh 10 Nov 1868, Lincoln County TN. He may have been living in Grundy County TN at the time of the 1860 Census.

JORDAN-HARRIS: James Jordan, son of John Jordan and Margaret Garrett of Montgomery County NC, married Mary Polly Harris 20 Feb 1823 Hickman County TN. By 1828, James and Mary moved to Illinois. Looking to connect with others researching the Jordan and Harris families who migrated to Tennessee from North Carolina in the early 1800’s.

WHITSONLooking for the mother of Mary Lezena (Luzine) Whitson. Mary was born about 1835 in Perry County TN; her father was Harris Whitson. Mary married Peter Martin Hodo about 1851. Mary married William Wilson about 1869. They are listed together in the 1880 Perry County TN census, with several children, including her son John Hodo from her marriage to Peter Hodo.

MA, d. 1809 Harrison Co., KY) and his wife Sarah Bland. James married Mary “Polly” Woolsey in Green Co., TN in 1798. Mary was born in NY and died in Green Co., TN. Looking for any additional information about her birth and parents. Also looking for proof of relationship between James and son William Marshall Doane, born about 1804 in either Washington or Smyth Co., VA.

STALCUP (STALCOP): Looking for proof of relationship between Peter Stalcup Sr. (1763-1805) to Peter Stalcup Jr. (1797-1880) and his son Jesse Stalcup (abt 1827 or 1829-1905). Peter Stalcup’s father was William Stalcup (1741-1819). For his service in the American Revolution, in 1787, William received a land grant of 357 acres, located in present Trousdale County, TN. Patriot William Stalcup and wife Margarete Anderson are buried in Stalcup Cemetery, Trousdale County, TN. No record of Peter Sr. has been found in TN with the exception of the settlement of his father, William's estate in 1819. Peter Jr. may have lived in Smith or Sumner County, TN for a short time before moving to Orange County, IN.

DAY: Looking for DAR/SAR acceptable proof that Esther Henrietta “Hetty” Day is the daughter of Jesse Day and Hanna Howard. Jesse and Hanna were married 1791 in Jefferson County TN. Hetty was born 1807 in Jefferson County TN. Additional information: Hanna died in 1824 and Jesse died 1835, both in Rhea County TN, where they are buried. Hetty married James C. Holland in 1826 in Rhea County TN.

CINNAMON: Looking for information and records pertaining to Henry Clinton Cinnamon and his children. Henry first married Susan Ridings and they had 6 children. In 1882, Henry married Susan's sister, Lucy Ridings and they had two children: Cornelius Washington Cinnamon and Alexander Fillmore Cinnamon. Henry primarily spent his life living in Claiborne County TN.
