DNA Class 2 – I have my DNA results; now how do I use them?

 This class assumes that all attendees have taken a DNA test and have had an opportunity to work with the results, even if only in a limited way.  We’ll expand on the use of autosomal DNA testing in genealogical research using results from Ancestry.com.  We’ll also work with the chromosome browser in the autosomal test, which will bring in three other companies - 23andMe, MyHeritage, and FamilyTreeDNA. AncestryDNA has no chromosome browser.  (GEDMATCH/GENESIS will be covered in DNA Class 3.)  We’ll discuss the use of Y-DNA and Mitochondrial DNA testing in genealogical research by using the FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA) site.
