WOMEN IN WORLD WAR II BY MIKE ELLICOTT
Most Americans know of the heroism of the nearly 16.0 million American men that fought in WWII. Not many know about the 350,000 American women who also put on the uniform, many of them serving overseas in the Mediterranean, in Europe and in the Pacific. In addition, over 6.0 million American Women joined the Arsenal of Democracy workforce as Rosie the Riveter, Wendy, the Welder, and a host of other jobs only open to men before the War. This presentation will highlight the contributions of a few of the many women in the Greatest Generation.
Access will be through GoToWebinar. Instructions and Connectivity Link will be forwarded via email to all registrants upon registration, six days prior and again 1 hour prior to the event. Making the connection is quick and easy only requiring a computer and Internet connectivity from wherever you chose to watch the event. Your questions help drive the meetings, and we will be there to help each other.
