Answering Liberty's Call By Tracy Lawson
Tracy Lawson is a 30-year member of the DAR and belongs to the chapter named for her 6x-grandmother, Anna Asbury Stone. She was a dance teacher and choreographer for nearly three decades. Tracy decided to change her career in 2011 when her husband changed jobs and they moved from Ohio to Texas. She decided to switch gears and take up writing. In the past ten years she has published six novels and two nonfiction history books.
Answering Liberty's Call: Anna Stone's Daring Ride to Valley Forge, Tracy's most recent book, is based on the legend of her 6x-grandmother, Anna Asbury Stone. The family legend can be traced back to Benjamin Butler Stone, a grandson of Rev. Benjamin and Anna Stone. As Rev. Benjamin and Anna lived with their son, Jeremiah, in their declining years, young Benjamin grew up hearing stories of his grandparents’ youth directly from them.
Please join us as Tracy tells us how her genealogy research helped her create this wonderful book.
