J. Mark Lowe is a Tennessee native with extensive family roots in Kentucky and Tennessee. He is a professional genealogist, author, and lecturer who specializes in original records and manuscripts throughout the South. He has been researching families for more than 55 years.
He was a former President of the of the Association of Professional Genealogists, former Vice President and Secretary of the Federation of Genealogical Societies. He is the Coordinator for the IGHR Research in the South track.
Dr. Deborah A. Abbott, PhD, is a professional genealogist, specializing in African American research, manuscript collections and genealogy methodology. She is an associate with the Kentucky-Tennessee Associates based in Springfield, TN; past president of the African American Genealogical Society, Cleveland, OH; and a retired professor of Counseling from Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. She holds both the BS and M.Ed. degrees from Tuskegee University in Alabama and the PhD degree from Kent State University in Ohio.
Refund Policy: Full refund if request is received on or before March 23, 2023. A refund of the registration fee less $20 will be given for requests received after March 23, 2023. No refunds for requests received the day of the seminar or later.
