The featured speaker will be Ms. Melody Walker, the Director of Planning and Operations for the Sultana Disaster Museum in Marion, Arkansas. Her presentation last about one hour. As you may know, the sinking of the Sultana just as the Civil War was ending (April 1865) is still the worst disaster maritime disaster in US History. The museum is just across the Mississippi River from Memphis in Marion, Arkansas.
