TNGS Celebrates 4 Events on One Day (March)
The Return of our Popular Field Trips; The Bicentennial of the City of Memphis; Women’s History Month; a Fond Farewell to Jimmy Ogle
On Monday, March 11, 2019, TNGS will meet at noon at the newly-opened Mansion at the Pink Palace Museum to hear Shelby County Historian, Jimmy Ogle, give one of his final presentations as a Memphian. Jimmy will speak on “Women in Memphis History.” All of this is FREE!
However, in order to participate, you will need to do the following things:
1. Go to: https://pinkpalacejimmyogle.brownpapertickets.com/ to order a ticket and print it out from your computer. YOU MUST DO THIS TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT. (Seating is limited.)
2. Email metroeatsmemphis@gmail.com if you’d like to order a box lunch for the event. (This is not a requirement, but is available for your benefit.)
3. Email Carla Maitland at director2@tngs.org to confirm to TNGS that you’ll be in attendance. (We need to know how many to expect.)
4. Meet at the Pink Palace before noon on March 11th in order to be on time!
Some members plan to stay afterwards to take a tour of the new Mansion. If you would like to do that, you will need to plan to purchase a ticket there. The prices are: $15.00 Adults (13 – 59); $14.00 Seniors (60 +)
Please get your tickets as soon as possible and let us know that you’ll be there!
